The Royal Surrey has opened a new Community Diagnostic Centre at Milford Hospital, near Godalming, equipped with two MRI scanners and a new CT scanner.
Once fully running, the centre is expected to provide around 11,000 extra MRI scans and 9,500 extra CT scans a year. It aims to help detect conditions such as cancer and heart disease earlier, bring tests closer to patients’ homes, and ease pressure on the main hospital in Guildford. X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiography and blood tests are also available on the site.
