Dr Andrew Carne will be speaking at Ultrasound 2026, the 57th Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), which takes place in Cheltenham from 8 to 10 December 2026.
Dr Carne will give a joint presentation with Mr Gareth Chan, Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, as the main talk of the musculoskeletal (MSK) session on Tuesday 8 December. Their talk, On the ball: managing forefoot pain, brings together the radiologist’s and the surgeon’s perspectives on Morton’s neuroma and other causes of pain in the ball of the foot, covering clinical assessment, ultrasound diagnosis and the full range of treatment options, from conservative care and surgery to ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr Carne will draw on his experience of ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for Morton’s neuroma, a minimally invasive treatment he offers to private patients.
More information about the meeting is available on the BMUS website.
